I’m incapable of being not myself for very long. the album’s tender moments - that is, the ones that felt like they emerged against my will - are my favorite.” he went on to talk about how amazing Cheerleader is (as he should) and how proud he is of that piece, but continued with, “for me, SMILE! :D expressed everything that needed to be said and I learned more from it than any other record.
