Chrissy Chlapecka is known across the internet for her constructive and always needed advice, her signature bimbocoreenergy, and being unapologetically herself at all times. She has built a space online that feels bold, hyper-feminine, safe, and completely her own, so it was no surprise that when she stepped into music in 2023, fans were ready to follow her there too.

With her Girl On The Moon tour, Chrissy proved that she is not just an internet personality trying something new. She is a full-fledged pop performer, and one that people are clearly hungry for. The tour was nearly completely sold out before even hitting its halfway mark, and her stop at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood felt like the perfect reflection of that momentum. The room was packed, the energy was immediate, and from the very start, it was clear this was not going to be like any other show. The night opened with a lineup that felt just as intentional and exciting as the headliner herself. Alexandra Veltri, Slajer, and the ever iconic drag queen, Sweet Pickles each brought something unique to the stage, setting the tone for a night that celebrated individuality, performance art, and queer joy. We were definitely spoiled by the entire line up!

Opening with “Brain,” she quite literally stepped out wearing a brain on top of her iconic hot pink hair, immediately pulling the audience into her world. It was theatrical, camp, and completely captivating from the first second. That sense of commitment carried throughout the entire show, with a setlist that moved seamlessly between high-energy pop moments and emotionally driven standouts like “Christine,” “AFFECTION,” and “Cherry Do You Love Me.”
Visually, the show was just as impressive as it was sonically. Despite being self-funded and created alongside her close circle, the production never once felt small. It was detailed, intentional, and full of personality. Chrissy moved through multiple outfit changes, each one more elaborate and sparkly than the last, perfectly matching the tone of each section of the show. Every look felt like its own moment, and somehow each one topped the one before it.

Going into the night, I had only casually listened to some of Chrissy’s music, having followed her since the early days of her TikTok career. But walking out of that venue, it felt like I had just discovered one of my new favorite artists. Because beyond the visuals, beyond the aesthetic, beyond the internet persona, there is undeniable talent. Her vocals are truly something special. There is always a level of curiosity when it comes to influencers stepping into music, but Chrissy completely erases that conversation the second she starts singing. Her voice is strong, controlled, and effortlessly powerful. She does not just sound good live, she sounds incredible. And what makes it even more impressive is her stamina. She performed for over an hour with full choreography, constant movement, and nonstop energy, all while maintaining flawless vocals from start to finish. It never felt forced. It never felt like she was trying to prove anything. I think it's safe to say Chrissy is an absolute powerhouse, and I'm amazed by her talent and ability. If super woman was real, her name would be Chrissy Chlapecka.

Midway through the set, she slowed things down with back to back ballads, “The Only One Who Gets To Cry” and namesake of the tour,“Girl On The Moon.” The shift in energy was magnetic. The crowd, who had been dancing and screaming along all night, leaned in completely, hanging onto every word. These moments highlighted the emotional depth in her music and gave her vocals an even broader space to
truly shine. It was intimate, vulnerable, and easily one of the standout sections of the night.
And right when it felt like the show had peaked, she pushed it even further, she kept raising the bar like it was nothing. From unreleased tracks like “Spite”, which we absolutely cannot wait to add to our playlists, to fan favorites like “Head Bitch” and “I’m So Hot”, Chrissy maintained a level of energy that never dipped. The set felt intentional from beginning to end, building a world that was equal parts playful, powerful, and completely immersive. By the time she closed out the night, the crowd was fully entranced, matching her energy and giving it right back.

It is very easy to call someone a rising star, but with Chrissy Chlapecka, it genuinely feels like you are watching something take off in real time. She has the vision, the voice, the stage presence, and that unteachable quality that makes people want to keep watching. If pop music is about performance, personality, and connection, then Chrissy is already exactly where she is meant to be, and things for her can only truly go up from here. In the next couple years, I’m willing to bet we’ll be seeing Chrissy on festival main stages, performing on Late Night or SNL, and taking the music world by storm. She has such powerful star quality on and off stage, and I can’t wait to see her shine even brighter in this industry, or whatever she decides to do in this life.

Make sure you’re following Chrissy, add all her music to your daily rotation, and keep an eye out for any of her future projects or tours, because you won’t want to miss what’s coming next!
Also! If you’re reading this on or around April 11th, make sure to go wish our queen a very happy birthday!!
