5 Seconds of Summer’s Everyone’s a Star Tour: A Career-Spanning Celebration at the Kia Forum

Some concerts are memorable for the setlist alone. Others hit like a full-blown spectacle from start to finish. 5 Seconds of Summer’s Everyone’s a Star Tour stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles was absolutely the latter. If there was ever a band that could create their own version of an eras-esque tour, it’s 5 Seconds of Summer. Their Everyone’s a Star Tour stop at the Kia Forum was a career-spanning celebration that honored every chapter of their journey, bringing fans through the highs, heartbreaks, and unforgettable moments that made 5SOS who they are today.

The band transformed the iconic venue into their own version of an eras tour, taking fans on a journey through their entire discography while celebrating every chapter of their career. From their early pop-punk roots to their latest era, 5SOS proved that every song, every album, and every moment has played a role in building the connection they share with their fans. Rather than simply moving from song to song, the show felt like a carefully crafted story. Between each era, fans were treated to video interviews, skits, and behind-the-scenes moments that helped bring each chapter of the band’s journey to life. It was a reminder of just how much history exists between 5 Seconds of Summer and the fans who have grown alongside them.

The production itself was nothing short of massive. Ashton Irwin’s drum kit was built onto the hood of a comically large vintage limousine, turning the centerpiece of the stage setup into one of the night’s most striking visual moments. The stage design featured a circular loop that extended around a section of the audience, allowing the band to get closer to fans and making the entire arena feel involved in the performance. And of course, no 5SOS show would be complete without their absolutely endless and insane energy. The band brought an undeniable intensity throughout the entire set, filling the Forum with an explosive performance, endless movement, and a massive cloud of confetti that turned the venue into one giant party. Every member of the band commanded the stage, proving why their live shows have remained such a major part of their identity. While the production was impressive, the most powerful moments came from the fans themselves. Throughout the night, there were countless emotional reactions from the crowd, with fans singing through tears and experiencing the songs that have soundtracked different chapters of their lives. Songs like “Amnesia” created some of the most heartfelt moments of the evening, with the entire venue feeling connected through shared memories and nostalgia.

One of the biggest moments of the night happened during the encore, when 5 Seconds of Summer returned to the stage for their chart topping hit, “Youngblood.” After taking fans through every era of their career, ending the night with one of their biggest songs felt like the perfect final chapter. Before the performance, the band made their way back to the stage by walking through the audience, creating an insanely unforgettable moment of connection between the members and the fans who have supported them throughout the years. As the starting riffs of “Youngblood” filled the Kia Forum, the entire crowd erupted, with thousands of fans singing along as an explosion of confetti filled the air during the songs closing moments. It was the kind of finale that captured everything the Everyone’s a Star Tour represents: nostalgia, celebration, re-connection, and a reminder of just how much these songs and this band mean to the people who have grown up with them.

The Everyone’s a Star Tour is more than just another tour. It’s a reunion and a celebration of a band’s evolution, the fans who have supported them through every era, and the memories created along the way.
5 Seconds of Summer proved that after more than a decade together, their ability to connect, surprise, and put on an unforgettable show is stronger than ever. For longtime fans, the night was a walk down memory lane. For new fans, it was an introduction to everything that makes 5SOS special. Either way, the Everyone’s a Star Tour is a reminder that every era deserves its moment in the spotlight.
